Jill has a wide variety of experience in the clinical, fitness, and wellness industries. Over the past 13 years, Jill has had the privilege of working with a wide spectrum of patients including AVP Volleyball’s top athletes, elite MMA fighters, everyday weekend warriors, teenage athletes, and the geriatric population. She believes each patient to be unique in their own healing process.
Therefore, she creates individual treatment plans based upon the concept of universal development which utilizes a mixture of Pilates, yoga, and a vast knowledge of strength and conditioning. She is a proud member of the American Physical Therapy Association, and California Private Practice Special Interest Group.
As a former athlete and professional jazz dancer, Jill acquired a passion for physical therapy while recovering from numerous personal injuries. This passion led her to the world of Pilates and the power of the mind-body connection in healing. She decided to further her career and become a Certified Pilates Instructor through the Pilates Institute of Southern California. With the intent to bridge the gap between traditional medicine and the teachings of Joseph H. Pilates, Jill created ExhalePT.
Jill’s most current certification is with the internationally recognized ‘Polestar Pilates’ method, which is a rehab-based Pilates certification. As a certified Polestar practitioner, Jill teaches as a Polestar Educator which involves teaching and certifying fellow physical therapists and aspiring Pilates instructors around the world.
In addition to Pilates, Jill enjoys running, yoga, snowboarding, stand up paddle boarding, biking and an occasional glass of wine. Jill loves to travel and explore the world with her husband and two children. She believes that true healing stems from the connection of mind, body and soul. The words of Joseph H. Pilates resound within her practice, “The mind, when housed within a healthful body, possesses a glorious sense of power.”
